Words that describe evidence

QC photos

Images presented for a quality-check purpose. Confirm that they relate to the exact item and option, then ask whether the angles show the details that matter.

Reference or listing photos

Images used to describe or market an item. They may help identify the intended product but should not be assumed to show a specific received item.

Size chart

A table connecting options with measurements or recommendations. Its method, units, and selected option need to be clear before comparison.

Variant or SKU

A particular combination such as size, colour, style, or version. A correct main page can still show the wrong variant.

Material wording

A description of fabric, metal, leather, coating, or construction. Specific wording is easier to investigate than broad quality language.

Seller note

Information attached to a source or product page. Treat it as a claim to understand and check, not independent confirmation.

Evidence is useful when it answers a product-specific question. Ten images of the same flattering angle may provide less information than four views covering scale, construction, closures, and measurement.

Source terms explain where a clue began

  • Original or raw link.A link closer to the source page. It may help compare options or descriptions, but it does not establish current availability or quality.
  • Yupoo.Often used for an image catalog or album. Treat its photos, contact details, and any linked product page as separate pieces of information.
  • Taobao or Weidian.Marketplace source terms. Check the current listing, selected variant, seller page, and whether the spreadsheet description still matches.
  • 1688.A wholesale-marketplace source term. Quantity, packaging, options, and seller wording may differ from a simplified spreadsheet row.
  • Buying agent. An intermediary that may help with sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, or shipping. Confirm the service’s current role, fees, and policies through its official information.
  • Warehouse or order status.Account-specific information. Check it in the relevant official account or support channel; a public guide cannot see an item’s warehouse state.
  • Converted or agent link.A route adapted for another browsing or purchasing interface. Compare it with the source clue when item identity or options are unclear.

A source name answers “where might this information come from?” It does not answer “is this a good choice?” by itself.

Weight and shipping words describe different stages

Item or net weight

The product without some or all packaging. It can help compare similar finds but may not match chargeable parcel weight.

Estimated weight

A planning figure. Record the source and date, and expect it to change when the actual item or packaging is known.

Packed weight

The item plus retained packaging and other parcel materials. Consolidation choices can change it.

Volumetric weight

A carrier calculation based on parcel dimensions. The current formula and route rules belong to the official calculator or carrier.

Shipping estimate

A provisional figure based on inputs and current rules. It is not a quote unless the official service clearly says so.

Tracking status

Order- or parcel-specific information. It must be checked through the relevant account, platform, or carrier rather than this guide.

Words that should make you ask for detail

Labels such as “best seller,” “1:1,” “premium,” “trusted,” “safe,” “low shipping,” “must buy,” or “guaranteed” compress a complicated judgment into a confident phrase. Do not score the confidence of the wording; look for the evidence behind the claim.

  • Quality claim?Ask which material, construction detail, measurement, or photo supports it.
  • Popularity claim?Ask whether popularity is relevant to fit, condition, source clarity, or intended use.
  • Price claim?Compare like-for-like options and include likely weight or packaging context.
  • Safety claim?Use current official policies and secure channels; a spreadsheet label cannot guarantee an outcome.

Read a row in context, not word by word

Useful interpretation

“Hoodie · QC · Weidian link · 850 g estimate”

  • Hoodie sets the category checklist
  • QC prompts an exact-item photo check
  • Weidian identifies a possible source clue
  • 850 g is recorded as an estimate, not a parcel quote
  • Measurements, selected size, date, and current destination still need checking

Next action: compare the chart with a reference hoodie and inspect the current selected option.

Weak interpretation

“QC means verified and 850 g is final”

  • Assumes the photos match the option
  • Treats a source name as seller verification
  • Confuses item estimate with chargeable parcel weight
  • Ignores measurement method and date
  • Turns navigation labels into guarantees

Correction: translate every term into a question before saving the row.
